About The Position

As a Security Officer - Command Center Dispatch in Farmington, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor cameras and alarm activity, manage access control communications, and document incidents in real time. You will be a key point of contact for staff and visitors, helping to promote a professional environment through clear communication and timely follow-up. Requirements

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor security-related alarms, access control activity and/or video systems, assess incoming calls and notifications, and coordinate dispatch of on-site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering details, relaying instructions and maintaining communication with field personnel and site contacts.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, alarms and service requests in required reports, logs and/or computer systems, and communicate updates during shift turnovers.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the interior and exterior perimeter when assigned, and report maintenance issues, hazards and/or suspicious activity to site leadership.
