About The Position

As a Security Officer - Clearance Required Patrol Duty in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and support access control and incident response as needed. Requirements

• Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and supporting security-related policies and emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and sensitive workspaces for compliance with posted requirements, challenging unauthorized persons in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications using required reporting systems, while maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.
