As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Driving Role in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. This driving post involves monitoring assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. You will contribute to a secure environment by responding to situations with professionalism and communicating clearly, all while embodying Allied Universal's core values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual conditions or activities.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and first responders as needed during emergency situations or drills.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift to help to deter potential risks and maintain a secure environment for personnel and assets.
