About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Front Desk in Kingsport, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor cameras and alarms. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting and directing visitors, employees, and vendors while following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Manage access control at the front desk by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and coordinating with onsite contacts for approvals.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, phones, and radios, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and administrative tasks such as incident reports, key control logs, package deliveries, and shift handoff communications to support consistent site operations.
