As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor access points and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with all visitors and personnel. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
At least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Perform security-related patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions as needed.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
Follow all emergency response procedures, including those specific to chemical and petrochemical facilities, when appropriate.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, Allied Universal management, and emergency responders as needed.
