As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor access points and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with all visitors and personnel. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • At least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Perform security-related patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Follow all emergency response procedures, including those specific to chemical and petrochemical facilities, when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, Allied Universal management, and emergency responders as needed.
