About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions relevant to the chemical or petrochemical environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as necessary.
Follow all instructions and protocols specific to the chemical or petrochemical setting to help to deter incidents and promote a secure environment.
