Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Specialist in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment while providing excellent customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Applicants must have at least one year of law enforcement experience or two years of security supervisor or manager experience or three years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and directing them as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures, including evacuation assistance and coordination with emergency services when appropriate.
Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter potential security-related risks and promote a secure environment.
