Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and employees, providing exceptional customer service and communication, while upholding the values of agility, reliability, and integrity that define our team.

Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, promptly reporting any irregularities or incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Document observations and incidents in detailed reports to support ongoing security-related operations.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or drills.
Support Allied Universal in maintaining a professional presence and upholding the security-related standards of the location.
