As a Screener at a leading tech and telecom location, you will help support daily operations by screening visitors and deliveries, verifying access credentials, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and provide customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and teamwork grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a tech and data center style location.
  • Screen employees, visitors and contractors at designated entry points using approved methods such as magnetometer screening, bag inspections and/or package screening in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or credentials, and document entry and exit activity in logs and/or access control systems per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around the business and perimeter when assigned, noting unusual conditions and reporting findings per site procedures.
