About The Position

As a Security Officer - Checkpoint Driver in Bonita Springs, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community access control post, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage gate entry, and document activity while providing a welcoming presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible professionalism, clear communication, and teamwork rooted in integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state and compliance with AU driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community access point.
  • Control access at gates or entrances by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor passes, and directing traffic flow according to property rules.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, observe for unusual behavior, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and coordinating with onsite staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Complete required logs and reports, communicate key updates during shift turnover, and operate access control systems such as intercoms, phones, and visitor management tools.
