About The Position

As a Security Officer - Walking Patrol in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. You will also use computer and/or tablet tools to document activity, share updates with the team, and act with integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, athletic fields, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location and time of day.
• Monitor access points during assigned patrol rounds, verify authorization for entry when required, and assist with visitor sign-in and/or directions in accordance with site procedures.
• Document and report security-related observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns through Allied Universal reporting tools, and communicate notable activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
