Job Description As a Security Officer - Campus Perimeter Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and offering a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any irregularities.
- Communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
- Support Allied Universal and client management in maintaining a secure environment for all persons on site.
