About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Findlay, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and unusual activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and your Allied Universal team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous behaviors.
• Control access at gates and/or building entrances by checking identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
• Complete routine inspections and report unusual conditions such as damaged fencing, open doors, spills, leaks, or suspicious activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
