About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Tupelo, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting details to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with site protocols.
• Support retail loss prevention and asset protection efforts by documenting incidents, communicating with management, and assisting with crowd management during busy periods, openings, closings, and/or special events.
