About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol Associate in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access as directed by site policies, and assist with crowd management during busy service periods and/or special events.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incident information in required reports, and communicate clearly with site contacts, coworkers, and/or first responders as needed.
