Job Description As a Security Officer - Building Entry Monitor in Shreveport, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access and conducting routine patrols at a dynamic commercial real estate location. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control activities.
  • Assist in managing access to the location by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and granting or denying access as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and access control logs as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or providing directions to emergency personnel.
