As an Access Control Officer at a premier residential location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a primarily driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, where you will interact with residents and visitors to support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the residential location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Assist residents and visitors with information and directions, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed and work collaboratively with local authorities and Allied Universal management.
