About The Position

As a Security Officer - Broadcast Studio Screener in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, support entry screening, and help manage access control and badging. You will stay visible at key checkpoints, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity while partnering with site teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry and exit screening at a tech location, including verifying identification and access authorization, managing visitor check-in and/or badging, and directing guests to the appropriate points of contact.
  • Perform walkthrough screening and inspections as assigned, including monitoring for prohibited items and documenting findings to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command and completing required reports.
  • Monitor assigned screening areas and nearby entrances using observation and available systems, maintaining clear communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
