As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to calls for service, while delivering standout customer service through clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, medical response coordination, and/or crowd direction as directed by site policy.
Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior, reporting concerns promptly and accurately according to post orders.
Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders using radios, phones, and other approved communication methods.
