As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine driving rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication to tenants and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, guests, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial office buildings and surrounding areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry by checking identification, credentials, and/or visitor logs; direct visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; observe and report conditions to property management and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Complete timely reports and documentation, communicate post orders and important updates during shift transitions, and use CCTV and/or other monitoring systems when assigned.
