As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with site leadership and/or local responders as needed.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring authorized entry, directing visitors, and assisting with wayfinding while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions.
  • Document patrol activity and incidents in daily logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
