About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bank Lobby Desk in Purchase, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor log processes. You will stay visible at the lobby post, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk and main lobby area, maintaining a professional presence and assisting with questions, directions, and general inquiries.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, checking authorization, and supporting badge or credential validation in accordance with location requirements.
  • Process visitors by completing sign-in procedures, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, notifying hosts, and coordinating visitor routing to approved areas.
  • Answer and route incoming calls and communications, taking messages and relaying time-sensitive information to the appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor security-related systems at the front desk such as cameras, alarms, and access control notifications, and report irregular activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and log entries, maintaining accurate records for audits and compliance requirements common to financial institutions.
  • Coordinate with building management, client representatives, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requests, deliveries, and special events.
  • Support package and delivery screening procedures as required by site policy, directing couriers to designated drop-off areas and notifying recipients.
  • Provide access support for employees and authorized vendors, including assisting with credential issues and directing them to the proper internal contacts for resolution.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior through consistent application of front desk protocols and prompt reporting of policy violations.
