About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bank Front Desk in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badges, monitor entry activity, and support a professional lobby experience through clear communication and customer service. You will help identify and report security-related concerns while staying visible and responsive. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at the main entrance by greeting visitors, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and directing traffic to the appropriate departments.
  • Monitor lobby activity, cameras and/or alarm panels as assigned, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with local responders as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including visitor records, incident documentation and shift handoff notes, while supporting a professional front desk environment.
