About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bank Customer Service Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service to help create a welcoming environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication skills, while embodying Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, employees, and guests by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a financial institution location.
  • Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and credentials for entry, and help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all visitors and activities occurring at the front desk area.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including alerting the appropriate personnel and following evacuation or lockdown procedures as directed.
  • Support the overall security-related operations of the location by remaining alert to unusual activities and reporting concerns promptly.
