About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bag Check Screener in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a leading tech location, you will greet employees and visitors, support access control and badge verification, and help manage entry screening with clear, professional communication. You will monitor activity at key checkpoints, report concerns, and document security-related incidents while delivering a customer-first experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and employees by following site-specific policies, screening procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries for authorized access using access control systems, visitor management processes, and badge and/or credential verification.
  • Monitor entry points and screening equipment, document screening results as required, and report unusual activity or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating communication and assisting with incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, labs, production areas, and perimeter locations, noting hazards and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them through the appropriate channels.
