About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bag Screener in Niles, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Screener at an aerospace and defense location, you will help support secure operations by screening personnel and deliveries, verifying identification and credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting security-related activity with clear communication. You will stay visible, respond to questions with strong customer service, and partner with site teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at designated entry points by verifying identification, checking authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Operate and/or monitor screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of bags, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures to help to deter prohibited items from entering the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and coordinating with site contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, completing activity logs and reporting unusual conditions according to post orders.
