Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols for the location.
  • Verify visitor, vendor, and contractor access credentials, maintain detailed access records, and communicate clearly with residents and property management regarding entry authorization and/or delivery activity.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Support front gate and community access operations by monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, providing directions, and helping to deter unauthorized entry through consistent policy enforcement.
