As an Allied Universal professional in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access control, verify badges and credentials, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols. Your visible presence, strong communication, and customer service will help support a welcoming, reliable environment while addressing security-related concerns with agility, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking credentials, verifying visitor and/or contractor authorization, and documenting arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts and completing accurate activity and incident reports.
  • Monitor gates, lobbies, docks, and/or other assigned access points to help to deter unauthorized entry, support traffic flow, and address questions from personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or operational issues that may require security-related follow-up.
