Job Description As a Security Officer - Badge Issuance Desk in West Chester, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor alarms and/or panels, and complete routine patrols to help identify and help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence, communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and teams on site. Requirements

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and monitoring entry and exit points for unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity through proper notification and documentation channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, common spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, and check doors, gates, and restricted areas for compliance with site procedures.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as access control panels, alarms, and/or CCTV, and coordinate with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
