You will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Control access at entrances, loading areas, and other designated points by verifying identification, assisting with visitor check-in and/or escort procedures, and directing foot traffic as needed.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; document observations and notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision of unusual activity or policy issues to help to deter loss and disruption.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with onsite management and local responders when required.
- Complete detailed reports, incident logs, and pass-on communications, and support opening and/or closing procedures as assigned by site requirements.
