About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Desk in Meridian, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help support smooth daily operations. This role blends strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and report unusual activity or access concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of gates, parking areas, loading docks, warehouse exterior areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
Maintain required logs and records related to arrivals, departures, visitor management, trailer and vehicle activity, and other site-specific security-related events.
