Requirements

  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas such as offices, data halls, and support spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records, issue temporary credentials as directed, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining attentive to access control concerns, equipment status, and other site conditions that may vary by location.
