You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Staff access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry by checking identification, issuing and/or retrieving badges, and directing employees, contractors, and visitors to the correct check-in process.
  • Manage visitor and contractor processing by verifying appointments, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and communicating access approvals and/or denials to site contacts.
  • Control vehicle and delivery access by screening inbound and outbound traffic, documenting truck and trailer information, and coordinating entry to docks, yards, and restricted areas as directed by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations in written reports, and conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and the perimeter as required by post orders.
