Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced automotive location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, check credentials, and guide employees and visitors with professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly as you document activity and report concerns. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, including greeting, directing, and answering questions at entry points.
- Control access to the location by checking identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges as authorized, maintaining visitor logs, and following sign-in and sign-out requirements.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry areas, coordinate delivery and pickup access per post orders, and report suspicious or unauthorized access attempts to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, and complete routine security-related reports and documentation according to site procedures.
