About The Position

As a Security Officer - Automotive Company in Novi, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and requesting additional assistance when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary passes when authorized, and directing traffic flow as assigned.
Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or access control systems, and report irregularities per post orders.
Complete routine patrol and incident documentation, including shift activity logs, badge and key accountability records, and equipment inspection notes.
Support production and logistics operations by maintaining a visible presence near shipping and receiving areas, staging lanes, and storage areas, and reporting suspicious behavior or hazards to site contacts.
Assist with investigations of policy violations, damage, and/or theft by preserving observations, documenting details, and forwarding information through the chain of command.
Perform perimeter checks of fences, gates, and dock doors, and report maintenance issues, unsecured doors, and/or lighting outages to site contacts.
Provide directions and general assistance to employees, contractors, and delivery drivers while maintaining a professional demeanor and following confidentiality expectations.
