As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist with access points and visitor interactions. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a welcoming experience for employees and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout technology office spaces, common areas, loading and receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access control points to help manage authorized entry, including checking identification, confirming visitor and contractor appointments, and supporting badging processes as directed by site policy.
  • Operate and observe security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and electronic access control, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Assist with handling fire, intrusion, and equipment alarms, including investigating alarm causes when directed and documenting findings.
  • Complete required daily logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs with clear, detailed information for Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders.
  • Provide visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity, loitering, and/or policy violations within the facility and surrounding property.
  • Support property rules related to restricted areas such as labs, IT rooms, and server spaces by verifying access authorization and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Coordinate with site teams regarding deliveries, service calls, and after-hours access requests, following established procedures and documenting actions taken.
  • Help maintain orderly conditions by addressing minor issues in a courteous manner and escalating repeated noncompliance according to policy.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and drills to remain familiar with site-specific procedures and reporting expectations.
