As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities as you support the overall security-related operations at the location. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.43 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage access control duties at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
Assist with the implementation of site-specific policies and procedures related to security-related matters.
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting individuals at entry points.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor security-related systems such as surveillance cameras and alarms as required by site protocols.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during emergency response activities.
