Job Description We're Hiring Security Guards! As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrols in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols within a retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will interact with the public, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
21+ Years of Age
Level III Armed Certification (Texas Only)
Access Control/Badge Experience
Loss Prevention
3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree (C107)
Security Experience - 5+ Years
2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism throughout.
Conduct regular and random patrols inside the retail location and around its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Interact with the public in a courteous manner while upholding Allied Universal standards and representing the company positively.
Document incidents and observations according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as required.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to alarms or requests for assistance throughout the shift.
