As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a healthcare location. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid certifications are preferred.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and/or baton certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities throughout the location to help maintain a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols and directions from Allied Universal and site leadership.
