As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will support staff and visitors with customer-focused service while living our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Concealed Carry Weapons Permit is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to discourage unauthorized activity and support a professional presence.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site management and local law enforcement when needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring visitor flow, checking identification as required, and observing for prohibited items or concerning behavior consistent with site policy and armed post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate security-related concerns through the chain of command.
