About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Driver in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have 6 months or more of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter on a regular and random basis to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, directing people to appropriate areas, and notifying medical personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or authorization, and documenting visitor activity per site policy.
  • Complete thorough written reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident details, and follow-up actions, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
