About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request additional resources as needed and coordinate with on-site leadership and/or local first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, checkpoints, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, processing visitors, and monitoring for unauthorized activity or suspicious behavior to help to deter policy violations.
  • Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and policy exceptions; maintain required equipment and follow all post orders and armed post requirements established by Allied Universal and the location.
