About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering professional customer service. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific protocols at a government location, including access control, visitor processing, and other security-related procedures.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies, including maintaining control and accountability of issued equipment.
  • Conduct screening and entry point operations, including monitoring entrances, verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and coordinating with onsite personnel for authorized access.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate parties as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify security-related concerns, and complete required reports and/or logs.
