As a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. This dynamic role involves both armed responsibilities and driving as part of your daily duties. You will engage with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute to a secure environment while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned government location and its perimeter, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious behavior.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and law enforcement or emergency personnel as required.
- Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and other equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay current with security-related procedures and emergency response protocols.
