Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Unit in Sparks, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, and offer outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Armed guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats to the premises.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out assigned duties.
Handle and carry a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
Complete required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
