About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Observe and report any irregularities, suspicious behaviors, or hazards encountered during patrols, promptly communicating findings to appropriate personnel.
Support emergency preparedness and response activities, including assisting with evacuations or containment procedures if necessary.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Interact with personnel, visitors, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner while enforcing site policies and procedures.
