About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrols Full-Time in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, assisting with questions and offering guidance while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, adapting to the needs of a retail environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise within the retail or mall setting.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business, including interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Interact with store employees and visitors, offering assistance and helping to maintain order as needed.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal's procedures and site requirements.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to situations requiring an armed security-related presence, following all applicable protocols and guidelines.
