Full-Time Zip Code : 77071 As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrols in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment at a busy retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our values of integrity and teamwork. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact each day.

Requirements

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any unusual activity according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers in a professional manner while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Operate assigned equipment, including radios and/or access control devices, as required for the post.
Complete incident reports and other documentation as required by site procedures.
