As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Entry in Florence, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
At least six months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals while helping to deter unauthorized access.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and directions, following site-specific policies and procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns or unusual activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to management and/or law enforcement as required.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including coordinating with first responders and assisting with evacuation procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and customers.
