As an armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, incidents, and customer concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document activity, coordinate with site leadership and local responders as needed, and deliver a welcoming presence that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. Level III armed certification is required. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 04:00 AM - 02:30 PM Fri 04:00 AM - 02:30 PM

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, back-of-house corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, suspicious activity, disturbances, and medical incidents, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor and report security-related hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations; complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation.
• Support loss prevention and access control efforts by observing customer and employee activity, helping to deter theft, and addressing unauthorized entry and/or restricted area access in accordance with site-specific post orders.
